Thumbs up 1 1/2 weeks of having the phone - BROKEN SCREEN (weak glass)

I got my awesome galaxy nexus a week an a half ago. I was sitting at the table an my dog came up to me and by accident knocked it off my lap an i didnt have time to catch it. It fell off my lap an the screen is complelty broken and things aren't working prorperly anymore. Samsung won't do anything for me to even help me out... I am sooo dissapointed, ecspecially that the glass was suppose to be rhino tough. I might switch to an iphone becuase at least apple will give you one free phone if anything goes wrong with the first one in a year. Not Happy.....

I don't know about you but when my gf broke her iPhone 2 months after I bought it for her - broken glass - the apple store didn't do ****.

I've dropped my galaxy s2 so much times... It hasn't broken.

Manufacturers don't cover physical damage. Sucks to hear that you broke your phone. It happens to the best of us. But I wouldn't blame it on Samsung. The Nexus is a wicked phone. I'm sure you can have the screen replaced for a relatively affordable price.

Ive doped my SGS2 from the 2nd floor of my house i thought it was going to break for sure... nope... still in one piece...

Try emailing them agian and say the phone wont turn on and blah blah blah and see if they'll take it and they might change the screen

Keep in mind this isnt Samsung Greatest Product, Its google wanted Samsung to make the phone Samsungs pride and joy is in the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note.

As for a the glass goes blame Google for keeping their egg shaped phones and they wanted to be special and used curved glas...

    Galaxy nexus screen is garbage!

SAME HERE! My Galaxy NEXUS fell from my knee to the bathroom floor while I was sitting on the toilet. 14 inches fall and the SCREEN GOT A HUGE CRACK! Before I got the nexus I had a Motorola DROID X; the first one. I have dropped it while running on the sidewalk and kicked the thing. I have dropped it almost every week on on the ground for almost 2 years! I was carrying it with my keys, change and whatnot in the same pocket! I DO NOT HAVE SCRATCHES ON THE SCREEN! The rest of the phone is pretty beat up!!!! But the screen is perfect! The only thing bad about the screen is after one year it started to get more and more smudges than when it was new. I got the Nexus after that! And now my wife is using THE DROID! Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a great phone but it is VERY, VERY FRAGILE. I HATE THIS. I have to think how to put it and where!!! I NEVER DID THIS WITH THE DROID X!!!!! GARBAGE! SCREEN!

SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I got it becuase of ICE CREAM SANDWICH and the ability not to have SKINNED android experience .

MOTOROLA MAKES UGLY BUT VERY VERY STRONG PHONES!

SAMSUNG MAKE PHONES TO LOOK AT , NOT USE !~

$%@!! you Samsung and the GLASS you put in the GALAXY NEXUS!!! is the worst fragment of EXCREMENT I have ever seen!
    Thank you.

Wow, I drop my phone quite frequently (less now that I have the extended battery) and it must just fall right because it's fine. Sorry for your loss. If you have house insurance, try making a claim.

Hm I've found that the Nexus screen is more fragile. I just picked up my S2 again and I picked up a galaxy Note. After using them for 2-3 months and dropping them and throwing them around. I can say that the Nexus is more fragile. Time to move onto the Galaxy SIII?
