Jelly bean ota update for galaxy nexus is available for download

Google unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean yesterday , We all know that it is next-gen mobile operating system that’s already found on board of the Google Nexus 7, And its the first tablet which have jelly bean and it was also launched yesterday.

Google said that Jelly Bean gonna available to download as an over-the-air (OTA) update in July, but only a few selected devices like Samung Nexus S, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and theMotorola Xoom tablet will get it initially.
So, it’s not really surprising considering that it’s not Google that handles software updates for the vast majority of Android devices out there. It’s up to Android device makers and their carrier partners to roll out Jelly Bean updates to supported devices, and we have no idea right now when that gonna happen, or what Android handsets and tablets will get Jelly Bean.

Yeah if you own the Galaxy Nexus, then you’ll be happy to hear that Jelly Bean OTA update is available for manual install. As always, there’s a catch: the update doesn’t fit all Galaxy Nexus versions out there, so if you’re not in possession of the “Takju” U.S. GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus you’re out of luck, as the 156MB update will not work on your Nexus device. Moreover, there’s a chance the update will only work with the Galaxy Nexus units handed out to developers at Google I/O, as those devices came with Ice Cream Sandwich installed.

As always, you risk breaking your phone if you install an update that isn't designed to work with your carriers network. ALWAYS backup ALL your data before making such an attempt.
