Nexus keeps turning on screen while locked

    Hi all,

I've seen posts about this but no solution - so trying again.

My phone has now started to turn its screen on when locked - this only seems to happen when the battery is below 60%.

As other have said the charging bolt appears in the battery indictator and disappears. As if it thinks its being charged then disconnected. This would suggest a faulty micro USB connection im guessing?

I'm hoping it's just a bug with the latest ICS. If it persists much longer I will RMA the phone to get it fixed, but wanted to ask the community first to see if there are fixes out there??

As you can probably guess this is very annoying as the battery is constantly being drained, atm the phone needs charging twice, daily.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have been having the same problems, lately my phone has been showing charging when not connected to a charger, the screen continually comes back on when put in standby also sometimes when trying to take it off standby it immediately goes back into standby. I have restored the phone to factory settings with no change. I gave in and sent it to Vodafone for repair ( i took photos of it before ) and was totally gobsmacked when they came back saying that it had water damage and the warranty was void but I could pay them £100 to repair it or claim off my insurance. As my phone has always been in a case and had a screen protector on and has never been near water I argued with them. Their proof was to sent an enlarged picture of my so called USB socket showing water damage. I asked for my phone back and took pictures in the shop when picking it up. Guess what the picture they sent is not my phone. I am now about to go into battle with them over this but am still stuck with the problems. Any one have any ideas?
